Fish N Ships is a quick and simple card game designed for up to 5 players (ages 12 and up). Game length varies from 10-20 minutes depending on the number of players.
Each player has an individual combination of goal cards to collect in order to win. Players will attack, defend, hoard, and invoke the magical powers of the sea (yarrr!) in pursuit of defeating their opponents. (Double-yarrr!).
The gameplay is inspired by legendary games like “Bang! The Bullet”, “Killer Bunnies”, “King of Tokyo”, and the classic playing card game of “War”, and has several unique mechanics that will keep you playing!
Instead of choosing individual characters with their own unique abilities, players are able to draw from a (tidal) pool of abilities that can be traded or stolen from round to round. (No, I’m not sorry for the pun)
Whether you’re an offensive, defensive, chaotic neutral, or…um…lawful…good? I lost my train of thought. Regardless, there’s no wrong way to play!
We’ve made sure, through almost a year and a half of play-testing, that there is no way to “break” the game if you’re following the rules. And if you DO find a way, let us know! We’d love to hear from you and give you your just rewards. Did that last part sound threatening? Hm.
